Rode VideoMicro

VideoMicro is a compact microphone designed to improve the sound quality of your videos. It incorporates a high-quality cardioid condenser microphone capsule for high-quality audio recordings when used with a wide range of cameras.

VideoMicro, a directional microphone, reduces distracting peripheral sounds and focuses on the sound in front of the camera. Its pickup is more forgiving than RODE's other camera mics, giving it a more natural sound when recording indoors. Perfect for capturing incredible audio to accompany inspiring vision.

The body of the microphone is made of aluminium, giving it a high level of RF rejection, and is finished with RODE's premium anti-glare ceramic black coating.

Included with the VideoMicro is a camera shoe mount with a Rycote Lyre shock absorber. With its durable thermoplastic suspension construction, it is more effective at minimizing unwanted vibrations, handling and cable noise than traditional flexible suspensions. Virtually indestructible, the Rycote Lyre will never bend, drop, wear, and never need reworking to maintain its effectiveness.

Technical specifications

Also included is a foam inner-cell WS9 synthetic feather wind shield designed for use in outdoor scenarios where wind and ambient noise can interfere with recordings.

The RØDE SC7 comes with an optional TRS to TRRS cable, allowing VideoMicro to be used with smartphones to capture crystal clear, directional audio for video and video applications such as Periscope.
